Under Augustus, Rome enjoyed a 'Golden Age' and began its transformation from Republic to Empire. We will explore the social, literary, cultural, artistic, religious, historical and political successes and failures of Rome's 'Golden Age' through an examination of the main literary (both poetry and prose), artistic, and architectural sources."
