ENVR 302 Environmental Studies Curtis Bohlen, Bates College, Lewiston, Maine The purpose of this course is to develop an understanding of the structure and function of wetland ecosystems and to relate that knowledge to environmental policy, especially wetland regulation and management in the U.S. Students completing the course will understand wetland ecosystems
and the dominant reasons for their protection. They will be familiar with the basics of American wetlands law and will be introduced to the practice of applied science in the wetland regulatory context.
